We are a team of multinational agents and brokers originating from the Baltic region. Initially, Modus Commodities Solutions (MCS) was a brokerage led solely by Paulius Jakstas. It has since grown into a broader organization, including team members like Jacob Krusviz, fondly known as the “Flying Dutchman” due to his extensive travel schedule.
Our staff operates on the ground in Liepaja, managing import, transit, and export flows for our clients. Jack primarily handles the brokerage side and is eager to discuss trades with you.
Beyond our activities in the Baltic Sea, we are active in the Black Sea, where we have applied our Baltic experience, as well as in Northern Africa. In these regions, we work directly with ports and clients while leveraging an extensive network of partners to develop business opportunities.
Recognizing our clients’ need for market insights, we partnered with market analysts to launch regular market reports and price bulletins, providing realistic price levels and informed perspectives.

Through a steep learning curve, we now actively handle cargo and broker commodities in the Black Sea basin, expanding our partner network and exploring new opportunities to serve our clients.

Reports
Price Bulletins
Our team issues regular price bulletins—daily or weekly, depending on the commodities and regions covered. These include bid and ask levels, with estimates of market depth (available volumes) where possible. Pricing is tailored to individual clients, so we cannot provide a standard subscription fee.
